Give It Away To Keep It

Create Good Karma

Unity is a big part of this program. Each individual has their role in achieving the one goal we are striving for: recovery. No matter where we are in our recovery, there is a contribution to be made. The principles set before us help make this possible for each and every addict in recovery.

According to Oxford Languages, individuality is the quality or character of a particular person or thing that distinguishes them from others of the same kind, especially when strongly marked. How did your experience get you here? Our stories may not be the same but in some way, our stories can relate. We all bring an important message to the Fellowship. Hope, desperation, and freedom comes to mind. Saving our lives means asking for help. Coming together as one, we have a hand reached out waiting to be grabbed and held on to. We can't do this alone.

Tradition One says it best, "Our common welfare should come first; personal recovery depends upon the Fellowship's unity." Who we are alone is shaped by the desire to be clean and stay clean in our recovery. No one person is greater than or lesser than another. We stand side by side creating a community that supports the growth of just existing to being alive. Our strength as a community comes from the many hardships of what will be our past. Change is inevitable so long as the motivation is consistent.

Be vulnerable. Be open. Practice humility. This is a WE program.
